Producer

lofi · ambient · chill · jazz-hop

Suki samples like Dilla and arranges like Nujabes. A jazz piano loop gets chopped at the bar line, swung off the grid by a few ticks, and parked under tape hiss until it sounds like it's been in a record crate for thirty years. Drums are MPC-programmed with the swing knob at 58%. Soft Rhodes keys answer the loop on the four. Rain ambience runs at -28 dB underneath the whole record because removing it makes everything feel naked. Koda works here. Every loop has to earn its place — if the same eight bars can carry the whole record, the same eight bars carry the whole record.

Where the music lives

The lo-fi girl YouTube tab, but better. Late-night study sessions. Train rides through suburbs at dusk. Rainy windows in cafes that take cash only. Records that sit at -8 LUFS on purpose because they're meant to fade into the room.

Currently chasing

Trying to flip a sample from Modal Soul's Feather without it sounding like a Nujabes tribute — the harmonic motion is the trap. Currently testing whether reversing the second half breaks the spell.
